What do you get with the S4L method?

Weekly Programming

  1. Weekly warm-ups. Why weekly warm-ups? Because it gives coaches time to work 1-on-1. Allows clients to be social and work at their own speed. It identifies injuries or issues. 15 min time cap on the warm-up.
  2. 3 days of programming - movements are designed to improve balance and posture. Improved grip strength & core stability will be a focus, along with the standard leg and arm strength components.
  3. Videos - help guide the understanding and focus for each of the movements.
  4. Scaling options for knee and shoulder issues: Both the programing and the videos will include scaling options to allow even the most fragile individuals to still train, feel good and get stronger.

Two Week On-Ramp Program

The first two weeks of programing are designed to handle the complexities of developing a new class of clients from Day 1. In the first two weeks, the program will focus more time on the warm-up and introduce movements such as the hip hinge, squat and plank. 

Special Event Programming

Programing for special events such as “Murph”, “21 Heroes” and “12 Days of Christmas”. Also, strategies to involve the STRONG4LIFE community in the CF Open or other gym activities.  

Detailed Scaling Notes and Movement Videos

Each week of programming includes videos of exercises along with modifications for knee and shoulder limitations plus floor mobility options. You will also be able to ask for specific videos for other modifications that may arise with your clients such as wrist issues, pacemakers, chemotherapy and other surgeries/injuries. 

Baseline Testing and Assessment Sheets

Testing includes: balance, grip strength, sit to stand, step up, 


  1. Mobility and Daily Activities (CDC.gov doc)
  2. Mood, Energy Level and Mental Health (CDC.gov doc)

Coaches Community

Access to a platform to ask questions and share ideas with other coaches working with the senior population. Videos and testimonials of other STRONG4LIFE communities. Locations of other STRONG4LIFE communities for our traveling population. And a forum to discuss the weekly programming.
